Refund Policy

1. Overview

CashVoteGH provides a secure paid voting platform for events, competitions, and award shows. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be issued for votes and transactions.

2. Votes Are Final

All votes purchased and submitted on CashVoteGH are considered final. Once a vote has been successfully processed, it cannot be reversed or refunded.

⚠ Voting payments are treated as digital participation fees, not purchases of goods.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued in cases including but not limited to:

  • Changing your mind after voting
  • Voting for the wrong nominee or category
  • Your nominee not winning the competition
  • Event cancellation by organizers after voting closes
  • Duplicate votes placed intentionally

4. Refundable Situations

Refunds may be considered only under exceptional circumstances such as:

  • Successful payment but vote was not recorded
  • System error resulting in incorrect vote processing
  • Unauthorized transaction confirmed through investigation

5. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

Attempting chargebacks after casting votes may result in account suspension. CashVoteGH reserves the right to investigate fraudulent refund requests.

5.5. TICKET SALES REFUND POLICY

CashVoteGH processes ticket refunds automatically when events are cancelled or deleted by organizers.

When Are Tickets Refunded?
  • Event Cancellation: If an organizer cancels a ticket event before it begins, all ticket holders automatically receive a full refund
  • Event Deletion: If a ticket event is deleted by the organizer or platform admin, all ticket buyers are automatically refunded
  • Event Postponement: If an event is postponed, refunds are issued OR tickets are automatically transferred to the new date (as per organizer preference)
  • System Failure: If payment processing fails or tickets are not issued despite successful payment, full refunds are processed within 3 business days
What Is NOT Refundable?
  • Customer changes their mind after purchasing
  • Customer cannot attend due to personal reasons
  • Event occurs as scheduled (unless organizer changes plan)
  • Tickets shared or resold (tickets are non-transferable)
Refund Timeline
  • Refunds are initiated within 24 hours of event cancellation or deletion
  • Processing time depends on your payment provider (3–5 business days for Mobile Money and Paystack)
  • You'll receive a refund notification via email/SMS with tracking reference
ℹ All refunds for cancelled events are automatic and require no action from you.

6. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

Attempting chargebacks after casting votes may result in account suspension. CashVoteGH reserves the right to investigate fraudulent refund requests.

7. Refund Request Process

If you believe your transaction qualifies for a refund, please contact support within 48 hours of the transaction with:

  • Transaction reference number
  • Mobile number used for payment
  • Event name and nominee voted for
Refunds are reviewed manually and may take 5–10 business days depending on MoMo/Paystack processing.
